However, as the types of USB cables in the market are increasing, it is becoming more and more difficult for people to keep a track of the different types of USB cables.

The latest addition to the cable family is type C cable. It came into the market around the year 2014 and has been taken into by many mobile companies since.
There are a number of benefits related to type C cable such as faster charging, faster transfer of data, and also, it is reversible which means it can be inserted from any side.
- iPhone Cables:
Also called lightning connector, iPhone cables were introduced in 2012 and replaced its predecessor. iPhone cables are also reversible and can connect to devices such as iPhones, iPods, and iPads.
It got the name lightning because it is much faster at transferring data than the version it replaced.
There is no thinking about if you have an Apple gadget. However, if you are planning to buy a new android phone, then it is advised to buy a phone that has compatibility with a type C cable because it is here to stay.
